To those who played a role in making this arguably my best year yet as a published author, I'd like to offer H-town for the Holidays, for $ Free.99, as a thank you!

H-town for the Holidays is a collection of three stories, that span the timeframe of December 23 through December 25. An interconnected holiday menage if you will.

Each story operates as a standalone that threads the needle to introduce the one that follows it, ultimately resulting in part catch-up, part foreshadowing of what could be coming from the JGU in the future.

NEED TO KNOW

H-town for the Holidays is not for everyone, I repeat. This book is not for everyone. The reason...characters, timelines, and spoilers.

MAIN CHARACTERS (listed in order of appearance)

  • Jonathan Archibald Ingram aka Jon Jon/Jonny

  • Myrna Lopez - new

  • JaNelle/Mamas/JaNi-bean - new

  • Nia Rose King (formerly Hobson)

  • Chris "Boom" King

  • David Marcus Collins

  • Elizabeth "Liza" Anderson

TIMELINE

H-town for the Holidays takes place during the Christmas holiday following the epilogue for Salt & Pepper (2025). Additionally, the last of the three stories, will make no sense if you have not read one or both of Hey Auntie (2021) and Say What You Mean (2023).

In other words, if you have read all three of the aforementioned books, you are good to go. If not, download it now and save it for later.

SPOILERS

It's some in there. So just read the books in order, unless of course you are a rebel in which case, do what you do mane.

Lastly, as I mentioned above, I had the idea to pull this project together on a whim as a thank you for a good year. And none of that would have been possible without you, the reader. Unfortunately, because of this, I was unable to get on my editor's schedule, while also being able to get this free holiday read out on or around Christmas.

With that said, I did my best to eliminate egregious errors, typos, and consistency issues. But in the event I did not catch everything, my apologies in advance. Charge it to my head and not my heart, slim.

Readers, supporters, followers of the JGU, 2025 has been kinda alright. We achieved a number of firsts, met some new people in the community, and I got on the calendar to be outside a few times in 2026. Here's to this capper being the springboard to an even more productive new year.

Imma catch you in-between these pages, slim.
